HISTORY OF THE NORTH FACE
Named for the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain, The North Face began as a cultural trading post in San Francisco where the Grateful Dead played live, the Beat Generation shared new ideas and a who’s who of American climbers stopped in after traversing Yosemite.

OBJECTIVE
An interactive website experience highlighting the brand’s history of exploration, innovation and sustainability since 1966.
WIREFRAME. UX DESIGN. WEBSITE EXPERIENCE.

process
The process involved stress testing wireframes using a mix of new and archival photography of varying quality and sizes. The design was simplified into a few scalable layouts that could handle vertical, horizontal, and square assets on both desktop and mobile. This approach made the design process more efficient. The final result showcased a variety of content and photography in a clean, cohesive, and user-friendly way, all while ensuring the experience was engaging and fun to navigate.
